exploring authentic Buddhist practice in our times

Wedditation: now available in technicolour

Many people have been quite struck as to what I have called wedditation - and twice I’ve led such guided meditations at weddings, firstly for a dear friend and then for my sister.

So after many requests for the footage, only seven months on from the actual event, I’m pleased/slightly embarassed to share some video of what was my small part in a wonderful event.

And for those who want to know, the track I segue into is the effortlessly beautiful Gabriel by Lamb.

I was struck by perhaps the biggest demonstration of the love of a brother for a sister at a wedding I have seen yet. In the midst of the moment of silence Rohan was able to lead I felt him screaming from the top of his [spiritual] lungs “I love you sister, completely, unconditionally, in this very moment.” Funny how silence speaks…

Beautiful, Rohan; absolutely beautiful. I can’t think of a better gift for a young couple entering into matrimony than a meditation on loving kindness.

Wow! This is beautiful. I really enjoyed what you wrote on buddhist geeks too.
